Fundraising Race Night at The White Lion Raises Thousands for a Local Good Cause

Friday 14th August 2026 saw another fantastic fundraising race night from HR Entertainment, this time at The White Lion, where friends, supporters and members of the local community gathered together for a fun evening while raising money for a very worthwhile local cause.

The event took place in the pub’s function room and proved once again just how effective a professionally presented race night can be for bringing people together, creating a great atmosphere and, most importantly, raising funds.

Eight Races and Plenty of Excitement

Guests enjoyed eight exciting horse races throughout the evening, with plenty of friendly competition as everyone selected their horses and cheered them on towards the finishing line.

As each race got underway, the atmosphere quickly built, with plenty of shouting, laughter and encouragement around the room. Even people who had never attended a race night before soon became involved in the fun!

That’s one of the things we particularly enjoy about race nights — they are simple to take part in, highly sociable and can involve virtually everyone in the room.

Thousands of Pounds Raised for a Good Cause

Of course, while everyone was there to enjoy themselves, the most important part of the evening was the fundraising.

Thanks to the fantastic support of everyone who attended, the event helped to raise thousands of pounds for a local good cause.

A successful fundraising night is very much a team effort. The organisers, volunteers, supporters and guests all played their part, and it was great to see so many friends gathering together to support something important to their community.
